These are great for sea applications, but they'd certainly be worked hard on UK inland waterways; e.g. Steel strap-band from a builder's yard in the Engine Arm, (BCN) - 4 hours to clear prop. Blanket weed in the Bumble-Hole branch, (Dudley No.2) - 3 hours to clear prop. Industrial premises stair-carpet on the BCN. 40 feet of 2" chicken-wire fence Staffs and Worcs. The list is quite long, but the hours spent grovelling in the weed-hatch didn't totally spoil any of the trips. :-)
